Accommodations on Venice Beach, Florida Venice Beach accommodations are heavily weighted toward rental condominiums. The area does not offer large resort hotels near the beach. Venice, Florida has always attracted large numbers of retirees who want a relaxed, friendly lifestyle near the beach. They like single-family homes and they like the condominium lifestyle. There are indeed some smaller hotel properties not far from the beach, but there's no "hotel row" like you would expect to find on a more tourism oriented beach like Siesta Key. Single-family homes and condominiums are the most obvious option for a rental property in Venice. This is especially true if you want a place directly on the beach or within a block or two of the beach. You can expect to find spacious rental properties with all the amenities. Some of the condominium units directly on the beach have multiple stories and you can get an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico. As with all of southwest Florida, winter is the high season and rates drop substantially during the summer months. If you prefer to arrange a stay in a small hotel property, the "Inn at the Beach" is a small two-level boutique-style hotel directly across the street from Venice Public Beach. Other than a room right on the beach, what could be more convenient? Some rooms have a kitchenette. The property has a pool and a hot tub. The "Beachcomber in Venice" is a "condo-hotel" that sits directly on the beach and has a swimming pool. Each unit is individually owned so all units are uniquely furnished. The rentals are managed by an association. The Beachcomber is two levels--ground floor units and a second floor walk-up, and the units range from efficiencies to a 3 bedroom unit. "Venice Beach Villas" is conveniently located on Venice Avenue a couple of blocks from the beach. They offer efficiencies, studios, or up to 2 bedroom units with kitchens. It's just a block from all the quaint downtown shops and restaurants. No matter which option you choose for accommodations, you'll be close to the best beaches in Venice and to the best restaurants and shops of downtown. And the only way you'll find a more relaxed pace in the Sarasota area is to drive north a few minutes to Casey Key and Nokomis Beach.
