Out of the three public beach facilities on Lido Key, Lido Public Beach is the full-service beach with the most amenities. It's just about a mile south of Saint Armand's Circle and is close to the resort hotels to its south and to the restaurants of the Circle. Lido Key is a small island, so you don't have to drive far for anything.

As if the white sand and clear, calm water weren't enough, Lido Public Beach offers free paved parking, beach equipment rentals, a fabulous snack bar with covered picnic tables, a nicely landscaped beach front, lifeguards, and get this: a public pool! That's right, on the few days when the water might be a bit too rough to go swimming, just head over to the pool and for a very small fee you can enjoy a pool on the beach.

Just follow John Ringling Boulevard to Ben Franklin Drive. Cruise along Ben Franklin and enjoy the view of the Gulf Beach. Keep an eye out for the parking area and signs marking Lido Public Beach. If you happen to be parked up near St. Armand's Circle or North Lido Beach, you can easily walk down to Lido Public Beach either on the wide sidewalk or on the beach.

If you've had enough snack bar food, you might want to simply walk next door to the Lido Beach Resort and make a choice between their Gulf-front Tiki Bar and the Lido Beach Grille. Otherwise, a short drive up to Saint Armand's Circle will give you a wide choice of excellent restaurants on Lido Key.

A selection of condominium rentals, both on and off the beach, is available on Lido Key near the public beach. The larger beach resorts are located on Ben Franklin Drive facing the beach. Lido Beach Resort, Helmsley Sandcastle, Gulf Beach Resort, Holiday Inn; take your pick!
