Crescent Beach looks beautiful after all these years.
It was the early 1920's Crescent Beach was originally named after the "crescent like shape" of beach shore line. Construction of a bathing pavilion south of the now Siesta Public beach area gained beach notoriety and recreation interest back then. During the 1900's the whole Island was known as "Little" Sarasota Key / Sarasota Key, It wasn't until after 1952 that the entire Key got it's official name of Siesta Key. So now you know Crescent Beach is the grand dad of Siesta Key.
